Auth0 Agents as Principal enters Early Access
Auth0 announced Agents as Principal in Early Access on 30 July 2026, giving an AI agent its own identity, credentials and audit trail and preserving delegation context when the agent acts for a user.
Previous state
AI agents commonly represented themselves through shared client or user identities rather than the announced first-class Auth0 agent identity model.
Current state
An agent can receive its own Auth0 identity and credentials with an auditable delegation chain when acting on behalf of a user, including association with an existing external agent identifier.
