Atlassian removes marketplace-client-java from third-party plugin-vendor use in new Data Center majors
Following Marketplace V1 and V2 API deprecation, Atlassian says marketplace-client-java is unavailable for third-party plugin-vendor use in Jira 12, Confluence 11, Bamboo 13, Bitbucket 11 and Crowd 13, directing vendors to Marketplace REST v4.

Third-party plugin vendors could rely on the marketplace-client-java integration path in earlier supported Data Center product versions.
Current state
In the affected major versions—Jira 12, Confluence 11, Bamboo 13, Bitbucket 11 and Crowd 13—marketplace-client-java is restricted from third-party plugin development and vendors are directed to Marketplace REST v4 for direct integration.
